I love the informal set table and the familial rituals associated with food and drink.
Growing up in a kind of 1970’s ‘Good Life‘ in the Upper Eden Valley, Cumbria, I unearthed a dislike for boiled parsnips, but also a deep rooted appreciation for the homegrown, handmade, well-crafted, the beauty in natural variation and understated individuality.
I studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1990-1994 - specialising in Ceramics.
Hand thrown in porcelain and dip-glazed, I hope that my pots convey a peaceful, un-precious honesty.
